5 Common difficulties encountered by new bloggers and how to overcome them

The joy of becoming a blogger is at times overwhelming. You feel like you have found something you’ve been missing all your life and all you want is plunge yourself into the passionate adventure of becoming a blogger. You very quickly, without stopping to think come up with a ‘ blog’ and the next thing is you want to start publishing. That’s when it dawns on you that you very quickly jumped to nine without starting from one.
My point is, blogging is not a rush business. The adage that early bird catches the worm is not pertinent here. There are vital procedures that you’ve got to keenly observe and satisfy before setting up your blog. As a beginning blogger, the enthusiasm of becoming a pro blogger prevent us from observing these procedures and we end up on the drawing board again after we get lost on the way .
So to help you and others trapped in these problems I have come up with this 5 most common problems encountered by beginning bloggers and guides on how to overcome them.

1. Not knowing what to blog about. Defining your field of expertise as a blogger is very essential. And these depend on two factors:
a)Blogging as a business. If you belong here then you are endangered because you need to be very precise on what you want to pursue. This rely more on experience, learned knowledge or skills rather than passion or hobby. Do you have any past business experience? Did you major in any business field in college? Do you have any helpful skills?
b) Blogging as a hobby. This is about your passion, what you love doing. It will be more easier because you are dealing with something you love, something you probably know a lot about.
If you fall in either group, you need to be clear on what you are gonna blog about lest you get lost on the way.

2)Not knowing when to blog. Scheduling your blogging time can be a major setback. You might have a tight schedule or are just unsure of when to blog. I am a student and sometimes finding time for my blog can be utterly challanging. But I have come to learn that planning your time is the simple trick. Pick a time of the day when you are fresh and can concentrate. Make sure that this apply across the rest of the days but should not interfere with other agent things especially when you are blogging part time. If you are a full time blogger , you can plan your time at such intervals that it evenly covers the rest of the day.
But sometimes blogging on daily basis can be very demanding and frustrating especially when you are starting out. To avoid this you can schedule your time on weekly basis. But the point is to keep your content fresh.

3) Drawing traffic to your blog. This could be the most frustrating part of blogging. Sometimes you feel like swallowing the whole blog and vomiting it in the sewage with your inerts! You blog basically because you want people to view and read what you have to offer that is of help to them and maybe through them you might get something in return especially when you are monetizing your blog. Lack of traffick to your blog will simply shut all of these hopes. But the problem is not the readers. It is upto you to make it posible for them to find your blog. Work on how to get traffick to your blog from this site or from millions of other resourcess available online.
4) Keeping the traffic in your blog. This can be as challenging as drawing the same traffic. After sacrificing a good part of your time and dedication to attract these readers to your blog it wouldn’t be delicious losing them again .So what do you do to keep this potential clients sticking around in your blog? Don’t be boring ,keep your content fresh.Employ some humour and promotions in your blog. Something that will keep your readers engaged and interested. Do not be mean and money minded. Reply to their comments, questions and requests for advice without hesitation. That will make them feel at home.

5) Monetizing your blog. After getting a substantial amount of traffic the next step is probably to monetize your blog and get some income from it. But to some beginning bloggers this can be a totally new and strange thing to them. You can consider employing the services of professionals who have been in the field long enough to help you out. It is also important to learn yourself how to go about it to reduce depentance on premium services which can be very costly.
All said, blogging is no rocket science and you need no genius to puzzle out the basics for you. Just have some passion to keep you going and some dedication to keep you focused. Love the job and it will love you back
