3 Reasons you should be an affiliate marketer

Affiliate marketing is hitherto the easiest and most effective way to earn money online. Any dummy would agree to that. A good friend of mine and a fellow online marketer recently asked me why I went for affiliate marketing or rather what makes affiliate marketing stand out amidst  other myriads of online businesses that are saturating the world wide web.
My answer is simple...

We all know that coming up with a good product that can really provoke a customer's purchasing power is not that easy. Not that I wouldn't do it. If there was nobody in the entire online market that was running that same product, then by all means I wouldn't hesitate to go for it. But the simple fact is that there is not a single product that nobody is thinking about. Even if it hasn't been introduced into the market, in one way or another somebody will.
But we cannot all be producers. And we cannot all be affiliates. Otherwise what will we be promoting.
So my simple idea is to weigh the responsibilities of a product developer and that of the affiliate and probably their earnings then make your own judgement based on the prevailing opportunities in the market, that is whether we have a bigger gap in the product or affiliate side.

According to my criteria of doing things, I found the affiliate site to be far more advantageous. Why?
Find out from the following three reasons...

1. You do not need to create your own products

We are all pretty aware of the huddles product developers go through before they finally have their products in the market. Aren't we?
The enormous amount of money you have to invest to get your product up and running, the advertising costs because you need to bring potential customers' attention to the fact that you just released a really nice product you want them to add to their carts or wish lists. And there is no way you are gonna do that alone and do it effectively. That's where we affiliates come in handy and God knows we mean business. And for you to have a product that is worth customer's loyalty, your own skills won't be sufficient. You will need to hire a more qualified team to give it a kick. And I haven't heard of any that do such work for free.
Then there is the issue of not being sure whether the product is going to sell. In layman's language, you are a risk taker- a damn ingrained tendency of entrepreneurs- at least from what high school business teacher had to say.
Remember you are not the only person coming up with that same product. Almost everyone else is doing. So obviously competition can't miss out on your list of setbacks to overcome.
Producing products is a damn good idea because I like creativity anyway. But with all these cons? Uh-oh...
As an affiliate, all you have to do is wait for the product creator to go through all these constraints they can't just seem to avoid, then when the product is out, you approach  them with a high traffic website or blog under your nose, and they will be willing to share the profits with you. Isn't that something better? Why not.

2. The start up cost is insanely low.

All you ever need is about $3 per month for the hosting company and maybe about $10 for your domain. That's all. But you can even advertise with a free blogspot blog from blogger just like this site. I started from scratch but now I have some dollars under my name. Building a website has been utterly simplified that it would be an insult of your creativity to hire an ''expert" designer. All you need is a little creativity and all the web designers will be out of business.
Almost all of the affiliate programs out their are free to join. Unless some tipsy tycoon is trying to come up with dubious ideas which again you have no reason to be part of.
The only concern on your sleeves is creating good content for your site to attract potential customers and maybe coming  up with good strategies on how to promote your affiliate products. I mean, do you get what I mean? Let's go to reason number three as you think about that...

3. You earn money from different sources

Yes. As an affiliate marketer, your streams of income are far more than the colors of the rainbow. Why? I can't believe you asked. There is nothing to restrict you as an affiliate marketer to promote as many different products as you can possibly find. A producer might depend on a single source- the products. But that should never be the case with an affiliate marketer. Promoting just a single product? I mean, are you kidding. That is not even affiliate marketing.
As an affiliate marketer, any product that sells is your product to promote. That is as long as you got a really nice reason  for your readers as to why they should go for the product. That is the simple joy of an affiliate marketer. For a producer, you might have to concentrate on a single product so as to precisely define your niche for your customers and get them to know what exactly your got for them.

So in a nutshell, these are the advantages of affiliate marketing;
  • You do not have to create your own products
  • The start up cost is very low
  • You have many sources of income
  • No customers on your back over bad products
  • You do not have to deliver products to the customer
Now your make your own choice
